A: 1 Year…just had my anniversary last week.
A: Mount Pleasant
A: My wife lived in the area and always wanted to move back (from Philadelphia). I looked into working here while I was also interviewing out in California for a large Hardware and Software manufacturer. I liked the quality of life in Charleston better than California.
A: There is some industry, a government/military presence and a young, entrepreneurial scene. I think that the combination of those factors lead to a growth in technical opportunities.
A: Don’t be afraid, just do it. There are lots of opportunities in Charleston for knowledge workers.
A: Sharing experience and knowledge.
A: It’s a beautiful place to live and a fun and exciting place to work.
A: The tech community here is newer, so I feel like there is a vibrancy here that doesn’t exist in other cities.
A: So much! There is a lot to do in Charleston. The beach, plenty of outdoor sports like boating, surfing, kayaking, fishing. Then, there’s the city. Farmer’s market, Second Sunday, music, bars, museums. There’s also a ton of historical sites to see if you’re into that.
A: Carriage ride downtown and the battery.
A: Beautiful.
A: Boone Hall oyster roast and/or Spoleto Festival. That’s a really tough call.
A: The growth of the tech sector in Charleston is really exciting to me as a techie. I love the influx of talented people and the energy that they are bringing to the area.
A: Generally, going to the beaches. I love the beach.
A: …can you get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing tech community while living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
